Dmas Research Group
The DMAS Lab at Northeastern University does polymer research on sustainable materials. As a part time researcher, I run experiments on polymer formulations to generate easily recyclable plastics. As part of this work, I synthesize molecules that are used in the reversible crosslinking of thermoset elastomers. In addition, I design hardware that we intend to use for the mechanical reprocessing of elastomers.
In order to see how well polymers reform under certain conditions, we needed a mold to perform tests. We are also currently working on a linear actuator for use with the mold in mechanical reprocessing.
